Abstract

Abstract

The work commitment of educators to the institution can make a significant contribution to the future development of the organization. Only educational institutions that can develop can win the competition. This study aims to examine the work environment and interpersonal communication as a determinant factor in organizational commitment. This research uses a survey method with a data analysis technique using path analysis. The questionnaire was distributed to 27 respondents in MTs. Al-Fathimiyah Karawang with a total sampling technique in August 2019. Research findings show the work environment provides the greatest influence in efforts to increase work commitment with interpersonal communication as an intervening variable. Therefore, improvement of work facilities, the comfort of the workspace and assisted with self-disclosure, assertiveness, expressive support, and closeness of MTs educators. Al-Fathimiyah Karawang can encourage a strong organizational commitment.
