Abstract

Various phenomena that occur today cause many children and adolescents to experience a typical crisis. From fights, drug abuse, liquor, and promiscuity. One thing that happens is that parents and teachers are less concerned with and become role models for their children and students. In this typical crisis, parents and teachers are an important foundation.

Therefore, parents and teachers must have a high awareness so that they can become role models for children's Islamic morals. The results of this study prove that: in terms of morality, role model education is an effective way to prepare children from a moral, psychological and social perspective. Psychologically, role models are used as a method of Islamic education, because since childhood humans basically want to imitate the movements or behavior of parents, teachers, and their environment.

In psychological research, role models take a relatively long time because they go through the process of imitation and crime goes through an infectious process, so the process becomes shorter. Therefore, if parents want to do bad things, they must be careful, because even if children don't see their parents, they can be infected instinctively and psychologically, and kindness takes a long process, so patience is needed. Related to this, it is a requirement for parents, teachers have exemplary characteristics that the Prophet practiced through Uswatong Hasana, such as patience, compassion, morals, tawadhu, zuhud and justice.
